A Sweet Taste of Paradise
Well... My sembreak started early actually, because only one professor gave an exam during finals week. My family transferred to Bicol since 2012, so I'm the only one here right now and currently residing at a dorm here in UP. I went back to Bicol for the holidays, spent time with family and just met a couple of friends but more with family, I guess when you're away from your family and living on your own, you realize the importance and value of time. I see this as a good thing, a very good change for me. I wouldn't have had realized that if I didn't become separated from them. Anyway, besides just staying home and spending time with family and friends, I went to a farm just outside the city around thirty minutes to an hour drive. We went there together with some of our family friends who own the place, to spend New Years and a couple of days there, just to relax, enjoy nature and be away from the city. It's one of my favorite places to go to, that's actually the reason why I didn't really mind moving to Bicol and actually enjoyed it. It's beautiful, the place is called "Little Pecuaria Farms" and you'll see hills for miles and miles. The house is situated on the highest and largest hill there and it has a perfect view of Mt. Isarog, there's also a tree house, a pool, and a bonfire place where you get the view of Mt. Isarog and we roast hotdogs and smores there. We hike in the morning if the weather is nice. It's usually cold at night, we rarely use fans and sometimes it's so foggy there in the evening and early in the morning. We just enjoy nature there, we don't use gadgets much. We play outdoors, play card games or board games if the weather isn't nice. I wouldn't have spent my break any other way. For me, it was the perfect place to be with and what made it even more special was the people you enjoyed the place with. Lazy mornings, camping, hiking, swimming, tanning out on the roof deck and enjoying the sunrise and sunsets. But most of all, cherishing the moments you have shared with them, a sweet taste of paradise.
