Have a Break

During the semestral break, I didn't do anything much and I think that's a good thing for me because I felt exhausted in my first semester here in UP. I applied in an organization and the application process really stressed me out and I had to balance my time to be able to focus on my academics as well, so the semestral break, with no school works (thanks to the academic calendar shift), was a rest month for me. I stayed inside our house and read a novel series, I watched the movie adaptation to that series, and I just did the usual things I do at home. We also spent the Christmas and New Year's Eve at home, just like the previous years. A week before the start of second semester, I enrolled in a driving school. I enjoyed that time because I get to learn a new skill, and I wouldn't have to commute and be burdened by the long lines of jeep terminals because I could just drive to and fro school.

The break that I had may not remind me of a lot of things and though we didn't really go out of the town (except the time when we headed to Tagaytay but were forced to go back due to a storm), it was still considerable as a good break. In the end, I realized what I really wanted after the stressful first semester was to be with the presence of my family and to spend a lot of time with them because I also have to catch up with what's going on in their lives and share what's going on in my life as well.
